Repair or replace — we’ll tell you straight
Not every damaged windscreen needs replacing. If the damage is small, away from the driver’s line of sight and hasn’t spread, a chip repair is faster and cheaper. If the crack is long, in the driver’s view, or at the edge of the glass where it weakens the bond, a full replacement is the safe option.

What affects the price of a new windscreen
Every quote is for your exact car — there’s no one-size price for “a windscreen”. The main things that change the cost are:
- Make and model — common cars are cheaper than prestige or rare vehicles
- Glass features — rain/light sensors, heated screens and acoustic (noise-reducing) glass cost more
- OEM vs quality aftermarket glass — both are safe; OEM matches factory spec exactly
- Trim and mouldings — some vehicles need new clips or seals to finish the job properly
